Man, did we experience the powerful presence of the LORD at the Crystal Lake Prayer & Praise Night, or what? The Holy Spirit showed up in such a powerful way; in our worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship. Lt. Kristina shared an awesome message on making sure we reflect the true image of Christ to those around us. There was such a humble attitude of prayer and desire for the LORD. Let’s keep that up! With all that happened in October, we just cannot wait for the next Prayer & Praise Night in November!
The next P&PN is on Friday, November 8, and it will be at the East Chicago Corps at 7:00pm. What’s crazy is this will be the last P&PN of 2013!!! So, bring your friends, and help them experience the amazing things God is doing at P&PN’s. Dietrich Hunter (Youth Pastor at the Kroc Center) will be preaching, and it’s just going to be an awesome night of worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship. Have any suggestions for this P&PN? Anything you want to see happen? Then just leave a comment below, or email us at [email protected]
Lastly, we have great news! We have left over shirts (see below) from our Young Adult Retreat, and we’ll be selling them for $5 a piece at the East Chicago P&PN for World Missions.
Here’s a description of the shirt from WARdrobe:
The number of humans being trafficked worldwide range from about 10 million to 30 million working as slaves inside homes, in agricultural fields, in the sex industry and other places. That’s millions of women, children and men struggling to escape captivity. That’s millions of people wondering what it means or what it would take to be free again.
An Abolitionist is an advocate for the complete abolition of slavery. With its mission to help those in need and spread a message that “sets captives free,” The Salvation Army has been an advocate against all forms of slavery since its inception in 1865.
Artist M. Brady Clark has designed a beautiful shirt to help raise funding and awareness for The Salvation Army’s fight against Human Trafficking. The Salvation Army’s anti-trafficking efforts focus on: legislative and policy initiatives, awareness raising and training, prevention efforts, as well as the development and provision of trafficking survivor services.
Printed with waterbase inks on super soft Tultex Unisex Blend Tees.
