CrossTraining College Scholarship
The CrossTraining College Scholarship program provides a $1,000 college scholarship to CrossTraining (Corps Cadet) graduates of The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division so long as they graduated after January of 2003.  This one-time scholarship grant is available upon receipt and approval of the attached application form.

Individuals who apply for this scholarship must submit proof of registration in order to receive the grant.  These college students must also be soldiers in good standing in a corps within the Metropolitan division.  A Metropolitan Corps officer must sign the attached form as proof of the individual’s standing in the corps.

Individuals are not limited to attending a college within the Metropolitan Division.  However, the student should maintain their soldiership in a Metropolitan corps during their college years. This scholarship is accepted year round.

Metro Medical Scholarship
This program is designed to provide educational funds for Salvation Army soldiers of the Metropolitan Division who are involved in an accredited college medical program. Scholarships are available for studies of all undergraduate and graduate medical studies. Applicants must also be soldiers in good standing at a Corps within the Metropolitan Division. A C+ (2.5) G.P.A. is required to reapply for each year.

Grants in the amount of $2,500 for full time students earning a bachelor’s or graduate degrees and $1,250 for full time students earning an associate’s (or similar) degree may be approved. Individuals may apply for scholarships in subsequent years, but awards are not guaranteed. No scholarships are made retroactively for past schooling expenses. Funds are limited, and priority will be given to those earning their first degree. Individuals may receive scholarship funding of up to $10,000 for a four year degree. Total funding will not be granted in excess of $10,000 (between the medical and leadership scholarships).

Metro Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship is for soldiers who demonstrate leadership service in the following ways:
-Is a soldier of a Metropolitan Corps & wears a Salvation Army uniform on a regular basis.
-Is actively involved in Corps and/or community leadership or volunteer service.
-Is a full time undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited college or university (under age 29).
-Maintains a minimum undergraduate (C+) 2.5 G.P.A. or a minimum graduate (B) 3.0 G.P.A. in order to be considered for subsequent scholarship awards.

Scholarships are available for studies of all undergraduate work, and master’s level graduate work. Grants in the amount of $2,500 for full time students earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree and $1,250 for full time students earning an associate’s (or similar) degree may be approved. Individuals may apply for scholarships in subsequent years, but awards are not guaranteed. No scholarships are made retroactively for past schooling expenses. Paul and Kay Rader Scholarship
The Paul and Kay Rader Scholarship has been established in the Central Territory to encourage Salvationist minority students to attend accredited Christian Colleges and to use their knowledge as a Salvation Army Officer or Local Officer within their corps. This scholarship can be awarded up to $5,000 per year per accepted student based on demonstrated need. It is awarded up to 5 annual scholarships not to exceed $5000 for each scholarship. Children of Officers are not eligible for this scholarship. Applications are due by May 8, 2013.

Territorial Student Loan for Salvationists
The Student Loan Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to young Salvationist students who desire to enroll in a program of post-high school education. To be eligible you must:

1. Be a soldier in good standing of the Central Territory
2. Be under age 29 and have a demonstrated financial need
3. Be currently enrolled, or planning to enroll for the next school year, in one of the following:
-Studies above the high school level for which credits are given towards a college degree and for which credits are transferable to an accredited school of higher learning
-Bible college
-Post-graduate courses
-Specialized studies offered by an accredited, recognized professional agency and/or authorized by the appropriate state
-Courses of a post-high school nature which are designed to help physically- and/or mentally-challenged children toward a vocation, offered by an accredited, recognized professional agency and/or authorized by the appropriate state;
4. Be a citizen of the United States, or hold a valid Alien Registration Card; AND
5. Maintain a “C” average (2.0 on a 4 point scale) or better.
