Metro Leadership Scholarship
The Metro Leadership Scholarship is designed to provide educational funds for Salvation Army soldiers of the Metropolitan Division. Scholarships are available for studies of all undergraduate work, and master’s level graduate work. Scholarships will be awarded by the Metropolitan Scholarship Committee by September 2017.

Applicants must:

  • Be a soldier of a Metropolitan Corps.
  • Be an actively involved in Corps and/or community leadership or volunteer service.
  • Be a full time undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited college/university (details above).
  • Maintain a minimum undergraduate (C+) 2.5 G.P.A. or a minimum graduate (B) 3.0 G.P.A. in order to be considered for subsequent scholarship awards.

Metro Medical Scholarship
The Metro Medical Scholarship program is designed to provide educational funds for Salvation Army soldiers of the Metropolitan Division who are involved in an accredited college medical program. Scholarships are available for studies of all undergraduate and master’s level graduate medical studies. Scholarships will be awarded by the Metropolitan Scholarship Committee by September 2017.

Applicants must:

  • Be a soldier of a Metropolitan Corps.
  • Be an actively involved in Corps and/or community leadership or volunteer service.
  • Be a full time undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited college/university (details above).
  • Be actively pursuing a degree related to the medical field.

Metropolitan Division Corps Cadets Graduate’s College Scholarship
This scholarship program provides a $1,000 college scholarship to Corps Cadet (BOLD) graduates so long as they graduated after January of 2005.  This one-time scholarship grant is available upon receipt and approval of the attached application form.

Individuals who apply for this scholarship must submit proof of registration in order to receive the grant.  These college students must also be soldiers in good standing in a corps within the Metropolitan division.  A Metropolitan Corps officer must sign the attached form as proof of the individual’s standing in the corps.

Individuals are not limited to attending a college within the Metropolitan Division.  However, the student should maintain their soldiership in a Metropolitan corps during their college years. This scholarship is accepted year round.

Territorial Student Loan for Salvationists
The Student Loan Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to young Salvationist students who desire to enroll in a program of post-high school education. To be eligible you must:

1. Be a soldier in good standing of the Central Territory
2. Be under age 29 and have a demonstrated financial need
3. Be currently enrolled, or planning to enroll for the next school year, in one of the following:
-Studies above the high school level for which credits are given towards a college degree and for which credits are transferable to an accredited school of higher learning
-Bible college
-Post-graduate courses
-Specialized studies offered by an accredited, recognized professional agency and/or authorized by the appropriate state
-Courses of a post-high school nature which are designed to help physically- and/or mentally-challenged children toward a vocation, offered by an accredited, recognized professional agency and/or authorized by the appropriate state;
4. Be a citizen of the United States, or hold a valid Alien Registration Card; AND
5. Maintain a “C” average (2.0 on a 4 point scale) or better.

Territorial Graduate Corps Cadet Scholarship
To be eligible for the Territorial Graduate Corps Cadet (Post High School Education) Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following conditions:

1. Be a graduate Corps Cadet of the U.S.A. Central Territory, completing 5 years/10 courses. Official records will be verified at territorial headquarters.
2. Be an active senior soldier in good standing from the Central Territory. An active senior soldier in good standing means that the student is adhering to the Soldier’s Covenant and regularly attending a local corps during the time of the scholarship if a corps is located near the institution of their choice. If a corps is not near the school, they must regularly be attending a local church.
3. Be a full-time (a minimum of 12 credit hours) student in an accredited institution of higher education and maintain a 2.0 or above GPA during the entire school term.
4. Be under the age of 26 at the time of application.
