Youth Leader Brunch: The Power Of Unconscious Bias (1.22.18)

Calling all Salvation Army Youth Leaders, Officers and Volunteers working with youth:

Join us for our first ever, FREE, Youth Leader Brunch on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10 AM-12 PM at Metropolitan Divisional Headquarters.

During our brunch, no only will we eat delicious Ann Sather’s cinnamon rolls (and other good foods), but we’ll also hear from our guest speaker, Karen Young, as she talks about “The Power of Unconscious Bias” in youth ministry.

In this presentation, ministry leaders are invited to explore “The Power of Unconscious Bias”, the study behind it, and the deep impact it has upon our perceptions and interactions within our work and ministry settings. The presentation will raise awareness about our own biases and identify strategies to counter them, so that all will have the opportunity to thrive.

Here is the schedule for our time together:

10:00 AM-10:30 AM: Brunch
10:30 AM-11:30 AM: Lecture (The Power of Unconscious Bias)
11:30 AM-12:00 PM: Worship and Prayer
12:00 PM: Depart

Even though this event is FREE, please RSVP by January 16 at this link:
