Youth Councils 2018 (aka #MetroYC18) is around the corner, and the time to register has come! We’re geared up for an awesome weekend of worship, teaching, prayer, and fellowship. Check it out:
WHAT IS YOUTH COUNCILS?
Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High and High School age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
WHO CAN ATTEND YOUTH COUNCILS?
We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 6, 2018. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th-12th grade by that same date.
WHEN IS YOUTH COUNCILS?
Youth Councils 2018 is being held from April 6-8, at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center.
HOW MUCH DOES YOUTH COUNCILS COST?
$75 for all delegates and leaders. That includes all your meals, snacks, lodging, main sessions, banquets, jokes, good times, pillow fights, and more.
WHAT IS THE THEME FOR YOUTH COUNCILS?
The theme of the weekend is CHOSEN, and we’ll explore what Jesus meant when he said “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last” (John 15:16).
WHO ARE THE SPECIAL GUESTS IN THE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK?

Megan Fate Marshman loves God and delights in overflowing His awesome love to others. She leads the Women’s Ministry at Hume Lake, shepherds young adults at Arbor Road Church, and speaks about Jesus around the world. She recently wrote a book called SelfLess…empowering people with how to think less about yourself while simultaneously thinking more of yourself. Megan lives in Long Beach, California with her husband and son.

Ronnie Murchison is a bilingual gospel musician who currently serves as the area music director for The Salvation Army in Memphis, TN. Whether preaching, teaching or singing, his passion is to minister the unadulterated truths of the gospel to the very core of an individual’s being. Ronnie is an anointed psalmist and loves to worship the Lord with much intensity, charisma and sensational energy. His true passion is prison ministry and has been active in that ministry for over 15 years. Whether on the street, hospital, schools or church, his life is dedicated to restoring and reviving the hearts of a dying generation. His latest album is called “Break Through”, and can be found wherever you listen to music.
WHO ARE THE SPECIAL GUESTS IN THE JR. HIGH TRACK?

Mark Oestreicher has been involved in church ministry his whole life, particularly with teenagers and youth workers. Marko has had a broad experience working in churches in roles ranging from Junior High Pastor to Executive Pastor. For 11 years, Marko was at Youth Specialties in San Diego, an organization that trains and equips church youth workers – the last 8 of those years as president. Concurrently, Marko was also a part of the leadership team of Zondervan (Grand Rapids, MI).
Marko has authored or contributed to more than 60 books, including the much-talked-about Youth Ministry 3.0. Marko is a partner in The Youth Cartel, providing resources, training and coaching for church youth workers. Marko’s blog. Marko has been married to Jeannie for 26 years, and has two teenage children, Liesl and Max.
[Building Nations | worship band]
Building Nations is a high energy Christian Rock band hailing from the heartlands of America, out of Bedford, IN. The group was officially formed in mid 2011. Founded by two brothers, on Lead Vocals and Guitars-David and on Lead Vocals and guitars-Randy VanLandingham, and the rest of the band consisting of, Bassist- Karen VanLandingham (their mother)–a.k.a “Mama V”, on Guitars and Vocals- David Higgins (their uncle), and the group is perfectly rounded out by it’s other two band members, on Guitars-Isaac Hawkins and new in 2017 on Drums is non other than-Kevin Corra. These guys have been in Music Ministry together in total almost a decade now, with the sole mission of reaching the world for Jesus through the gifts and talents that they have been blessed to receive.
